Deadpool vs The World - Adult Party Game review
Quick Glance: Deadpool vs The World
Game Type: Adult Party Game
Number of Players: 3+ Players (6 included markers)
Mechanics: Humor, Cards
Introduction/Overview: Deadpool is a juvenile jokester from the Marvel universe and here in a “Cards Against Humanity” style way you get to add humorous captions to cards depicting Deadpool in some sort of situation. Ideally, hilarity ensues.
Gameplay: Each player has caption cards to play and take turns flipping a “WTF” image card to play them on and serving as judge over the other player’s offerings. Once someone has earned 5 WTF cards demonstrating their skills in generating laughter they win.
Rulebook: This is a single front and back piece of paper, it is a simple party game and works similar to many other party games, i imagine you could guess at the rules and accomplish nearly the same thing.
Components: You get 6 markers that are decent and dry erase markers are common enough that if they dried out or you played enough to exhaust them you could procure more. The cards themselves can be hard to clean and might get a bit beat up in the process but should last several play-throughs. I found that moist towelettes which us parents almost always have were perfect for cleaning the cards. You get 300 caption cards, and 100 WTF cards so a decent number of times you could play before you might start hitting some repeats.
Final thoughts: If your group of friends is on the hunt for a party game and you like adult or juvenile humor this game is a perfect fit. There are a large pool of caption cards, and some let you put your own answers which would be evergreen. I think having the game hinge on picture cards makes the replay value a little less but if you bust this out at a handful of parties and get a good laugh this would be well worth the money. If you are getting tired of buying expansions for Cards Against Humanity give this game a chance.
