Nintendo NES Classic Mini System - Review
As we have covered all of the controversy surrounding the launch of the Nintendo NES Mini, we finally got a chance to unbox and review this 8-bit plug and play wonder. Touting 30 of the best games ever made for the system, the interface and the quality of the hardware itself are nothing short of amazing. Blowing on cartridges and wiggling them just right to make them work in ancient hardware are a thing of the past, the Nintendo NES Classic mini system works perfectly every time. My only real complaint is that the cords of the controllers are really short, but luckily there are extension cables readily available for purchase. Also, Contra was left off of the system, but for some reason Super C made the cut. The only thing I can think of is that it cost a boatload of money to license the original Contra and Super C was cheaper. Still, I am having a blast with my kids, their two favorites (besides Mario) are Pac-Man and Kirby's Adventure. With recent announcements that the system can be modified to add additional games to the system, I have a feeling this will be hooked up in my living room for years to come. Check out my unboxing and video review to see what is included in the retro gaming masterpiece.
