I recently wrote about the implausibility of a monthly streaming model working for video games. In it I mentioned how buying the Humble Bundle each month would be better and you would get to keep those games. And a few months ago they rolled out the Humble Monthly Bundle which is 12 dollars a month and gets you a six pack of games. You typically get a triple A title or two and some indie games most of which are acclaimed or new titles. Right now if you join you get a copy of Mad Max to enjoy. I think having a steady torrent of games delivered each month isn't a bad idea. And with the sheer volume of games that are released now it might just be easier to have someone pick them out and send them your way. You still have a portion of your money going to charity, and the rebate is still legit, as every deal so far has been valued over 120 bucks, and that doesn't count the free copy of Mad Max. If you want a monthly game service this is my current favorite, and despite my mounting monthly bills this one might slide into my budget shortly.
