Rock Band 4 setlist announced, but does anyone care?

About 10 Years ago, Guitar Hero became a household name, releasing various titles on PlayStation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 consoles. Even the Nintendo DS saw a couple of entries in the series.  In November of 2007, a new challenger to plastic instrument genre appeared called Rock Band.  Developed by Harmonix, (creator of Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero 2) Rock Band took rocking out to a whole new level, by including drums and vocals along with guitar and bass.

Several major releases and track packs went to retail over the years, as well as some specialties like Beatles Rock Band and Lego Rock Band. Hundreds of songs via DLC were also available, and users could grow their library by paying a small fee to import most of their songs from the previous version. The last major physical release was Rock Band 3 in 2010 which enabled the Keyboard controller to be played with some songs.

Now, five years later Rock Band is back with their upcoming release Rock Band 4 for the XBOX One and the PlayStation 4 systems.  Some of the older wireless musical instrument controllers will work with the game, and the XBOX version will be a little pricier due to an additional wireless adapter needed for the instruments to work correctly. But the main point I have is, does anyone really care at all? Sure I had a blast for years when people would come over and rock out with Rock Band, but I think now that time has passed. It's been at least 5 years since I have plugged any of those instruments in, which are currently rotting away in my basement.  The track list looks good, but I think I am finished with Rock Band for quite some time.  And, if I ever do get the desire to play Rock Band again, I can always plug in my 360 and still rock out like we did many years ago.
