There has been a lot of Nintendo news today, as the Japanese game maker has announced release dates for most of their products coming out this year. Some notable ones include Star Fox Zero coming out November 20th, and Xenoblade X Chronicles and Devil's Third coming out only one week apart in December. Also, an unexpected surprise comes Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on October 22nd just in time for Halloween. Despite the lackluster showing at E3 this year, Nintendo has seemingly found a way to turn around the outlook for gamers of their systems. The Nintendo WiiU and 3DS will have some excellent releases this year, gearing towards hardcore gamers. While there still are some casual offerings planned like Mario Tennis and Amiibo Festival, most are geared towards Nintendo's core fanbase.
For those of you who do not own a WiiU yet, one of the better bundles I have seen was also recently announced. The Super Mario Maker WiiU bundle comes with the 32GB deluxe system, A Modern color 8-bit Mario Amiibo, a download of the Super Mario Maker game, and Super Mario Maker idea book. This bundle will retail for $299.99, and will be only available at Walmart and Walmart.com on September 11th.
But the best surprise ended up being an Amiibo announcement. You know, those little plastic things we talked about before? Well Nintendo pulled a fast one on everyone, and has introduced Mega Yarn Yoshi. As if these things couldn't get any cuter, here is a giant one for you to play with. Estimated at $39.99, Nintendo will release Mega Yarn Yoshi on November 15th. I am predicting that Mega Yarn Yoshi will be incredibly hard to obtain after he is released, especially given the Amiibo shortages throughout the United States. Still, despite the price tag, despite the rarity, I gotta have him.
